We are Patrick and Sarah. Two ordinary people who have been called to the vocation of marriage. While we will serve many purposes to each other throughout our marriage, one of our greatest purposes will be getting each other to heaven. That requires a transformative kind of love.
Our love for each other will lead to love of the Father.
Of course, we are imperfect. We forget or choose not to pray some days. We miss Mass more than we would like to admit. We fail at loving each other adequately when things get stressful.
But we are constantly building and rebuilding, acknowledging our failures, and learning how to hold ourselves more accountable when it comes to the thing that matters most – Love.
This blog will be about our journey to become ordinary saints. We may never perform miracles or be venerated by the Church, but through our ordinary life as husband and wife, we hope to share the love of God with everyone around us.
We pray that our writings will serve as a reminder of the things that truly matter in this life. As Christians, we must joyfully choose to live a life that reflects Him, even if this means going against the grain of our ever secularizing culture. For those here who may disagree with or not understand the Catholic faith, we pray that our writings will encourage deeper reflection and research into the Truths that are revealed through the Catholic Church.
We have embraced our call to be ordinary, because it is through this call that we will accomplish something extraordinary. Our hope is that each of you will come on this journey with us, so that one day we can all rejoice together in heaven.
